Good News

In 2007 we distributed toys to nearly 3,000 childen. We served 25 area Social Service Agencies and provided layettes for 250 newborns. We could not have done it without the support of our volunteers and donors.

Herbert & Adrian Woods Foundation
The BRO was awarded a grant of $21,500 from the Herbert & Adrian Woods Foundation, St. Louis, MO. We plan to use a portion of the grant to purchase new books featuring minority children. An upgrade to high speed Internet in our office will help increase the productivity of our staff and help us generate new volunteers and donors.
Build - A - Bear Workshop
Build - A - Bear Workshop is our very first corporate donor. We received a very generous donation of dolls, bears and kits. Our kids will love them. ( We do!) Check out our blog for photos.
First Book First Book made a generous donation of over 4,000 new books. All we had to do was pick them up from a local warehouse.
Borders Book Store,

St. Louis County Parks

During the 2007 Holiday Season we were privileged to wrap gifts at an area Borders Books Store. In addition we worked an evening at the Winter Wonderland in Tilles Park in St. Louis County, MO. We received donations for our work in both projects.
